PUBLIC NOTICE
NOMINATING PETITIONS FOR ELECTED OFFICE
Notice is hereby given that nominating petitions are available at the Office of the City Clerk at Hastings City Hall, 201 East State Street, Hastings, Michigan, for election to the following positions:
- Four (4) Members of the Hastings City Council, regular four (4) year terms, January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2030: one from each ward, First, Second, Third, and Fourth.
- One (1) Member of the Hastings City Council, partial two (2) year term, January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028, from the Third ward.
- One (1) Member of the Board of Review elected from the City at-large, partial two (2) year term, January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028.
Completed petitions must be filed with the City Clerk no later than 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Any registered voter residing within the City of Hastings who is interested in running for one of these elected positions should contact Amy Hubbell, Deputy City Clerk, at ahubbell@hastingsmi.gov or by calling 269-945-2468 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
