PUBLIC NOTICE

Fire Hydrant Flushing

Notice is hereby given that the week of May 4-8, 2026, the City of Hastings DPS will perform fire hydrant flushing services. Hydrant flushing is an important maintenance activity that helps maintain water quality by removing stagnant water and sediment buildup.

During this process, residents may experience discoloration in their water and may notice reduced water pressure and flow. The water is still safe to use and consume during this process. Residents should expect their water to completely return to its normal state by the end of the hydrant flushing week.
